1. They are higher-priced blooms compared to the regular standard “everyday flowers”. A luxury flower can be 3-4x the price of a standard flower.

2. They don’t last as long. Typically luxury flowers have a vase life of 5 days, this is one of the reasons they’re used for weddings/events. Chances are after your wedding, they’ll start their decline process.

3. They are used frequently in upscale events and weddings since they add a high level of sophistication and elegance.

4. They grow locally (i.e. peonies in the spring, dahlias in the fall) and around the globe (i.e. garden roses from Europe, protea from Australia). However, if you don’t have a strong preference on specific flowers, such as garden roses or peonies, or if standard flowers (i.e. roses, carnations, hydrangeas, or even a wildflower aesthetic) bring you joy, then that’s wonderful, and luxury flowers won’t be the best choice for your needs.
