Real Wedding: Brody + Ashley
February 2, 2017
Brody + Ashley’s natural-inspired wedding was full of deep jewel-toned colors, organic textures, and geometric details. The flowers we used for the bridal bouquet were a mix of eucalyptus foliages, ranunculus, garden roses, thistle, dried yarrow, berries, waxflower and mini roses. ♥ The bride wanted the bridesmaids bouquets to be a simple mix of foliage with berries and wax flowers since their lace dresses were a combination of jewel-toned colors. It turned out quite lovely, don’t you think?
One of my favorites pieces from their wedding was the grand foliage installation that we created as a backdrop for their union ceremony. It was complimented on both sides by lovely, organic oversized posters, beautifully designed by the bride. Congrats on your marriage B+A, we loved being a part of your special day!

From He Loves Me Flowers… My personal floral design philosophy is that every single flower arranged in a bouquet should have a purpose. Each floral ingredient should either “shine”, compliment, fill, add texture or add movement. All the elements should blend together harmoniously, creating a floral masterpiece, while at the same time accentuating the bride’s personality and the overall wedding celebration.
When creating the wedding floral vision, I always ask the bride the color scheme, the style and the overall atmosphere for her wedding. As the floral designer, my goal is to create florals that fit, compliment and bring out the best in the overall event and individual person. About 90% of the time a bride doesn’t know what kind of flowers she wants (and she should not have to!) so that’s where I come in. Based on the season of her wedding, her colors, style, atmosphere, etc. I suggest floral options that I feel would be a good fit for her personality and wedding. Based on my suggestions and her feedback, I figure out what she loves! So together we come up with a beautiful mix of custom florals.
Jaelyn’s vision for her wedding was a perfect blend of elegance, romance, and class. Her colors were crimson red and champagne with touches of white and fresh foliage. I knew she loved greenery and loose, natural, flowing bouquets with texture. For starters, we chose garden roses and ranunculus (they are one of the secrets to making a bouquet look romantically spectacular!!) and I also wanted to incorporate the quicksand roses to tie in her champagne color. I accomplished the various texture elements by adding in stock, berries, veronica and two different kinds of foliage. The texture gives a bouquet personality and genuine uniqueness, while the organic foliage gives the bouquet movement and refreshment. The beautiful thing about Jaelyn and her family was that they trusted me completely. They gave me the keys to creative freedom which I know from experience makes all the difference and as a result, culminated in a stunning, timeless bouquet!
Real Wedding: Zach + Courtney
April 28, 2016
Zach + Courtney’s spring wedding was lovely and showcased the prettiest shades of peach, blush pink, and soft foliage. We used a mix of silver dollar eucalyptus (the bride’s favorite!) with dusty miller to tie in the maids’ misty blue dresses. The soft color palette was perfect for their March wedding at downtown Springfield’s historic modern venue, The Veridian. Congratulations on your marriage Z+C! Real Wedding: Cody & Lorna
February 23, 2016
An intimate wedding with family, friends and those dearest to their hearts, Cody and Lorna’s summer wedding was bursting with joy, love, freedom, and color. The florals were comprised of peach and pink roses, eucalyptus, ranunculus, stock, Italian ruscus, spray roses, garden roses and peonies. Everything we did floral wise for C+L’s wedding was my favorite! haha But seriously, I loved that Lorna trusted me, had incredible taste, and wanted a luscious, overflowing bridal bouquet, a 40-foot long garland (!!) and florals all throughout the romantic, quaint barn. There wedding was so pretty and many thanks to Jordan for the photos and all the great vendors below!

Real Wedding: Travis & Amanda
February 1, 2016
Inspired by blue and white willow-pattern and lots of greenery, Travis & Amanda’s brunch wedding was full of sentimental, charming and fun details (donuts anyone?!?). The florals we selected for their celebration were a mix of white tulips (the bride’s favorite!), ranunculus, blush garden roses, white roses, stock, navy blue privet berries, and lots of foliage. One of my favorite creations that we built for T&A’s wedding was their hanging floral piece which doubled as the focal-point for BOTH the ceremony and reception! It was just lovely and highlighted the couple’s position during both celebrations wonderfully. Congratulations on your marriage, T&A!

Aaron and Chelsea’s love was so natural and pure, along with their wedding style. The bride wanted bouquets that were permanent botanicals so we used a mix of dried eucalyptus, scabiosa pods, permanent ranunculus, wheat and permanent greens. Twine was incorporated throughout the bouquets and boutonnieres which added to the natural and organic flare. Photos by Josh Boston.
