From He Loves Me Flowers… My personal floral design philosophy is that every single flower arranged in a bouquet should have a purpose. Each floral ingredient should either “shine”, compliment, fill, add texture or add movement. All the elements should blend together harmoniously, creating a floral masterpiece, while at the same time accentuating the bride’s personality and the overall wedding celebration.
When creating the wedding floral vision, I always ask the bride the color scheme, the style and the overall atmosphere for her wedding. As the floral designer, my goal is to create florals that fit, compliment and bring out the best in the overall event and individual person. About 90% of the time a bride doesn’t know what kind of flowers she wants (and she should not have to!) so that’s where I come in. Based on the season of her wedding, her colors, style, atmosphere, etc. I suggest floral options that I feel would be a good fit for her personality and wedding. Based on my suggestions and her feedback, I figure out what she loves! So together we come up with a beautiful mix of custom florals.
Jaelyn’s vision for her wedding was a perfect blend of elegance, romance, and class. Her colors were crimson red and champagne with touches of white and fresh foliage. I knew she loved greenery and loose, natural, flowing bouquets with texture. For starters, we chose garden roses and ranunculus (they are one of the secrets to making a bouquet look romantically spectacular!!) and I also wanted to incorporate the quicksand roses to tie in her champagne color. I accomplished the various texture elements by adding in stock, berries, veronica and two different kinds of foliage. The texture gives a bouquet personality and genuine uniqueness, while the organic foliage gives the bouquet movement and refreshment. The beautiful thing about Jaelyn and her family was that they trusted me completely. They gave me the keys to creative freedom which I know from experience makes all the difference and as a result, culminated in a stunning, timeless bouquet!
Modern Copper and Fuchsia Wedding Inspiration
February 11, 2016
A wintry Valentine’s day theme, this rich and romantic color scheme features copper tones with warm berry toned pinks and fuchsia. From Abby Mitchell Events, the planning and designing team, “Our inspiration truly came from the color palette. We wanted it to feel current but traditional, minimalistic but glamorous and just overall very pretty and feminine.”
For the florals, I was very strategic in choosing items that were romantic, elegant and timeless, but with fun and unexpected elements. The floral selection ranged from garden roses, ranunculus, stock, dianthus, berries and lots of rich green foliage. The organic style gave it that fun, relaxed twist. As seen on The Perfect Palette!
Kudos to the vendor team!

Icy Winter Blues: A Styled Bridal Session
January 28, 2016
From the team, “The inspiration for this styled shoot came from a desire to provide inspiration for winter brides who were in search of a fresh, lighthearted twist on your typical winter wedding.”
For the florals, we strategically picked fluffy white stock, blush-tinted peonies, along with navy blue privet berries, grey dusty miller and silver brunia berries to accomplish the frosted, blue-toned feel. We wrapped the stems in a silvery, grey ribbon while keeping the style of the bouquet very organic and natural to compliment the romantic and airy feeling of this stunning winter editorial.

Holiday Brunch | Editorial
December 25, 2014
Story Line for our Holiday Brunch Editorial: “Elegant woman holds a gorgeously decorated and delicious fall brunch with fellow friends. After her guests depart, she is left with half eaten pieces of pumpkin bars, blackberry cake, and peach pie, along with cinnamon tea and half a pot of hot chocolate. You find her stretched out on her luxurious velvet chair, taking a moment of relaxation while she reminisces about the fun-filled moments that happened just hours ago. She has a whole uneaten leftover pie and delightfully delivers it to her friendly neighbor down the street. Youʼll see her espresso-colored pup escorting her down the sidewalk wearing a floral collar, attached with an oversized velvet bow and leash.”
